The colorful season is just around the corner… I’m just so excited about the idea that I started dusting off the Spring/Summer section of my closet and as I go through each item, I am trying to picture everything according to the new trends that the season is bringing.
Starting off with one of my favorite trends, this is a set I made in Pastel’s Trend sake.
I imagined myself going to a bridal shower, a nice picnic, some brunch in a hip and happening restaurant with the girls or even for work.

Set by The Vreeland Effect. “Pastel Sunlight”
Baby blue jacket by Thierry Mugler, shift dress in lavender by Valentino, cork nude wedges by Giuseppe Zanotti, Missoni clutch bag, bold-statement necklace by Tom Binns, bracelets by friendskorner.com

It became clear to me while looking through some of the pictures from Miu Miu’s latest collection, that Miuccia Prada was done playing with femenine silhouettes. Oversized jackets, men-inspired styling, and high waisted trousers paired with iconic 70’s prints were key items representing the brand for the next season.
Being a Miu Miu fan myself, I must say I adore all the looks and the retro feeling of the collection. I think it’s kinda cool to see a few dresses for the first time in years now that matchy-matchy pantsuits are so in!
What do you think?

Designer Raf Simons after a Jil Sander show.
After joining the firm in 2005 and having built a super-strong fan base for Jil Sander, designer Raf Simons, was expected to show his last collection for the brand last week at Fashion Week, as he is leaving the company for good next Monday. Sources say Jil Sander herself, namesake of the brand and founder of the company, will be returning to lead the house that bears her name for the third time.
With nothing else to say than to wish Simons the best of luck on his endeavors, we will be posting soon as we are waiting to confirm rumors of his enrollment in a little French-based brand called Christian Dior. Though we can’t say it’s a fact, we would absolutely love to see Raf taking over the Fashion House!
Christian Dior is expected to drop names in the next few days, so it won’t be long (ahem- it’s been almost a year since Galliano was fired from the brand) until we find out the so-anticipated name.
Do you think he might be The One?
